Melissa Dell serves on the Board of Directors of In the Running. Originally from Enid, Oklahoma, Melissa is currently pursuing her PhD at MIT. She has previously studied economics at Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship; has been employed as a short-term consultant by the World Bank; and is a recipient of the Truman Scholarship. Melissa founded A Drop in the Ocean, In the Running's selected charitable organization for South America, and she is the Managing Editor of College Matters, an educational nonprofit which publishes a college admissions guide and advises underserved students. In college, Melissa ran on the varsity cross-country, indoor, and outdoor track teams. She has completed the Boston Marathon, Athens Marathon, and Comrades Ultra-Marathon in South Africa. Melissa graduated with highest honors from Harvard University in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Economics.
